Leoโs Library Adventure

Leo loved visiting the town library. Every Saturday morning, he put on his backpack and biked to the library, excited to see what new books he could find. Today, he hoped to discover a book about animals living in the rainforest.
As Leo walked through the tall shelves, he noticed a book sticking out slightly. He pulled it off the shelf and opened it carefully. The pages were filled with colorful illustrations of jaguars, toucans, and monkeys swinging through the trees.
Leo flipped through the pages, reading facts about each animal. He learned that some toucans use their large beaks to reach fruit high in the trees. Jaguars are strong and can run very fast to catch their prey. Leo wrote a few interesting facts in his notebook.
Suddenly, he heard a soft giggle behind him. He turned and saw a girl about his age, holding a book about ocean creatures. โHi,โ she said shyly. โIโm Maya. Do you like learning about animals too?โ
Leo smiled. โI love it! Iโm reading about the rainforest today.โ He showed her the illustrations of monkeys swinging in the trees. Mayaโs eyes widened with excitement. โWow! I wish I could see all those animals in real life!โ
Leo and Maya spent the rest of the morning comparing books, sharing facts, and drawing pictures of the animals they liked best. By the time the library bell rang, they had made a new friendship and learned a lot about animals in both the rainforest and the ocean.
