The Mystery of the Lost Puppy

One sunny morning, Leo was walking to school when he heard a soft whimpering sound. He looked around and saw a small, brown puppy hiding behind a bush. The puppy looked scared and hungry.

Leo knelt down and said, โ€œDonโ€™t worry, little one. Iโ€™ll help you.โ€ The puppy slowly came closer and wagged its tail. Leo checked for a collar but didnโ€™t find one. He decided to take the puppy to the nearby animal shelter.

At the shelter, the staff gave the puppy some food and water. They also checked for a microchip to see if the puppy had an owner. Leo stayed with the puppy until its name was called over the shelterโ€™s loudspeaker.

Soon, a woman came running into the shelter. She looked very worried and shouted, โ€œBiscuit! There you are!โ€ The puppy jumped into her arms and licked her face. Leo felt happy knowing that Biscuit was safe.

On his way to school, Leo thought about how helping someoneโ€”even a small puppyโ€”can make a big difference.
