Reading Comprehension Grade 4

A Rainy Day

The sky is gray and heavy,
Clouds gather thick and low.
Raindrops patter on the roof,
And puddles start to grow.

Children splash along the street,
Boots squishing with each step.
Umbrellas bloom like flowers,
Colors bright and wet.

Inside, the warm kitchen waits,
With tea and cookies sweet.
Steam curls from the teapot,
And blankets hug your feet.

Though the rain falls hard and fast,
There’s comfort all around.
The world feels soft and gentle,
A cozy, calming sound.
