Verb

The activity or state of being in a sentence is expressed by a verb. Depending on when an action is being performed, verbs can be stated in several tenses.

Examples

  • The students are practicing for the baseball game. In the sentence, practicing is the verb.
  • Ron reads in the morning. In the above sentence, reads is the verb.
  • They prepared for the test. In this sentence, the word prepared is the verb.

Physical Verb

Action verbs include verbs with a physical component. They describe particular motions in the body. The word you use to describe an activity is probably a physical verb if you can perform it by moving your body or using a tool.

Examples

  • The students drew well.
  • My mother is driving the car now.
  • The birds are chirping.
  • They planted saplings everywhere.

All the above sentences reflects the physical action or motion done by the subject.
