Physical Verbs

The activities performed by our body components are referred to as physical verb. The verb “physical action” depicts a visible action. Physical verbs describe actions done out by visible subjects. Example : Run, Jump, Sing, Talk.

Examples

  • My sister was prattling about her new toy.
  • The ground was filled with water, because of the heavy rain.
  • They asked us to join their team.
  • You should work on your homework.
  • I am still cleaning my room.

Mental Verbs

Mental verbs describe actions performed using our mental capabilities, or mind. The verb “mental action” depicts a invisible action. Mental verbs describe actions done out by invisible subjects. Example : Think, Judge, Wish

Examples

  • My friend was dreaming about her Christmas presents.
  • I couldn’t recodnise her face.
  • She hesitated to join us for the performance.
  • You should consider wearing the blue dress.
  • I always hope for a better life.
